  12. I missed the original message; but in OS/2, provided you set the
  13. priority of the applications right; you can have your terminal program/BBS
  14. whatever have more priority so that your game pauses while the machine
  15. attends to communicating with the other user..

  17. To do that, I use a software called NICE.. You start your BBS with:
  18.    NICE /C BBS
  19. or,
  20.    NICE /C TELIX
  21. (or whatever you use..)
  22.  
  23. and that keeps that application in the 'time-critical' so that it will
  24. steal CPU from other running programs whenever it needs to. This will
  25. work for DOS programs as well; running under OS/2.. Such as:
  26.    NICE /C PCPLUSTD
  27.    NICE /C QMODEM
  28. ..whatever..

  30. I wrote NICE10.ZIP some years back, and is in ftp-os2.cdrom.com FTP site;
